The National Hispanic University and The Latino College Preparatory Academy are pleased to announce that Principal Jesse M. Barajas has been appointed to the State Board of Education’s Advisory Commission on Charter Schools.

The Commission is composed of nine members from across the State of California representing school district superintendents, charter schools, teachers, parents and guardians, members of the governing boards of school districts, and county superintendents of schools. The Commission is charged with advising the State Board on all aspects of Charter School policy, with special attention to the selective granting of charters; advising on appropriate actions, such as charter revocation, advising on the establishment of appropriate funding levels for charter schools.
