LCPA Seniors 2021,
eQuality is California's foremost program recognizing LGBT+ and allies youth for their service to the LGBT+ community. We award scholarships to graduating high school seniors, community college transfer students, and medical students.
In 2020, eQuality awarded 21 scholarships totaling $127,000. For 2021, we expect to award 17 or more $6,000 scholarships.
Applicants for the high school scholarships must:
Be a Resident of northern or central California who completed or expects to complete high school or equivalent between 1 Jul 2016 and 30 June 2021;
plan to attend or began attending an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, or vocational/trade school) for the first time in 2021.
The criteria on which scholarship recipients will be selected include:
Service to the LGBT+ community
Leadership
Hardship or special circumstances
Academic achievement
